Ewhurst's civil parish, which also takes in the smaller hamlets of Ellens Green and Cox Green near the West Sussex border, stretches north to Hurt Wood, part of the Surrey Hills National Landscape. The ridge above the village is a popular spot for walking and off-road cycling.
